Kate Ziegler already has 4 World Championships, American Records, and is a 5-Time National Champion, but she is just getting started. At 18 years old, Kate has become the top distance swimmer in the US and one of the best hopes for the USA to bring home Gold at the 2007 World Championships in Australia and the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Kate recently became the second woman in history to break the 16-minutes barrier in the 1,500-meter freestyle. Kate is an active student at George Mason University.

Kate’s age gives her a big advantage in the sport of swimming, compared to other athletes. Kate is now favored to win gold in Beijing and has become the USA's premier distance star. Her recent American records and World Championship success have set the stage for multiple medals in China 2008. She continues to show her love for water as a clean water ambassador for the Global Water Foundation.
